Galatians
Sowing and Reaping: Part 2
Galatians 6:9-10. Finish well! Press on in your Christian faith.
Sowing and Reaping
Galatians 6:7-8. You reap what you so is not only a philosophical truth, it is a biblical truth as well. That doesn’t mean we are saved by works, but it does mean that we will all, believers and unbelievers alike, will come before the Lord and give an account. These judgements are totally different from each other, but they are both judgements.
Bear One Another’s Burdens
Gal. 6:2-6 Believers are to be a people concerned about reconciliation and restoration within the body. If a brother sins, we are to be quick to restore him in a spirit of gentleness. But then what? Once restored, we are to carry each others burdens out of a heart of love for one another. What does this look like?
Spirit of Gentleness
Gal. 5:26-6:1 A proper self assessment has impact on how we relate to one another within the body of Christ.
Keeping in Step with The Spirit
Gal. 5:19-25. What does it look like to walk in step with the Spirit? If the flesh opposes the Spirit and the Spirit opposes the flesh, what do each produce, so we can know where we stand?
Walk By The Spirit
Galatians 5:16-18. How do we live the Christian life considering we have no more power in and of ourselves to keep the law now, than we did before we were saved.
Give No Opportunity For The Flesh
Galatians 5:11-15. Paul points out the truth that the message of the Christian gospel is an offense as it is preached. We must be ever so careful that as we preach we don’t seek to remove the offense within the gospel itself. This gospel is offensive to sinners, but it is the only message that saves. Paul also pushes the believers to live in lite of their salvation. Not to allow the freedom we have in Christ to give room…
Who Has Hindered You From Obeying the Truth
Gal. 5:7-12 Believers, led by the ministry of the Holy Spirit, will respond to the truth and correction, while false teachers and false converts will continue toward judgement.
For Freedom Christ Has Set Us Free: Part 2
Galatians 5:4-6. If we have been set free from the law, what role does the law have in the life of the believer? Is the law of any relevance to the Christian. Paul’s warning of the error of legalism needs to be taken seriously, but that is not the only error we can fall into with regards to the law, we must also guard against pushing into antinomianism.
For Freedom Christ Has set us Free
Gal. 5:1-3 Why would a believer ever go back to the law as his hope?
